Dr. Kathrine Stolee Appointed New Chief of Staff
The Perth and Smiths Falls District Hospital Board of Directors is pleased to welcome Dr. Kathrine Stolee as the new Chief of Staff effective April 1, 2017. Dr. Stolee succeeds Dr. Peter Roney who served in this role for ten years. The Board of Directors and organization offers its sincerest thanks and appreciation to Dr. Roney for his extended contribution and service in this role. He will continue his active urological practice.
Dr. Stolee is a specialist in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. She has been an active member of the hospital staff since 1993.
For the past two years, Dr. Stolee has served as President of the Medical Staff Association and has been a member of the PSFDH Board of Directors. Since 2015, she has been the Chair of the Medical Quality Assurance Committee and a member of the Medical Advisory Committee (medical leadership group). She is the past Chair of the Utilization Committee. She has also taken a leadership role in the coordination of Medical Assistance in Dying services with her colleagues at the Perth and Smiths Falls District Hospital.
As Chief of Staff, she will become the Chair of the Medical Advisory Committee and play a key role as a member of the PSFDH Board of Directors. Dr. Stolee is very proud to be part of a dedicated team of physicians who along with all the staff at PSFDH are committed to providing exemplary care to the patients we serve.
Along with Dr. Stolee’s part-time administrative duties, she will continue to provide clinical care to patients at PSFDH and maintain her out patient private practice.
