Service Description: Community-based Mental Health Services

Clinicians see clients in their schools and homes and in an office-based approach
  • individual and family therapy
  • treatment and prevention
  • consultations and assessments
  • case management, service coordination and referral
  • walk-in clinic
  • intensive services
  • after hours on-call crisis consultation
  • psychiatric, psychological and psychometric services available when deemed appropriate for the client
 
Caregiver Support - Family / caregiver skill building and support services may include the provision of effective parenting strategies as well as access to peer supports to promote resilience and positive child/youth/family functioning * offered in a variety of settings, including agency settings, community settings and/or the family home
 
Counselling - Counselling / therapy treatment services focus on reducing the severity of and/or remedying, the emotional, social and behavioural problems of children and youth
 
Crisis Intervention - Immediate, time-limited services, delivered in response to an identified child or youth who is experiencing an imminent mental health crisis, or an urgent or crisis situation that places the child/youth or others at serious risk
 
Mental Health Promotion & Prevention - Prevention programs empowering children, youth and/or parents to better address children’s mental health issues by changing attitudes and behaviours, building skills and competencies and/or creating awareness and resiliency
 
Parent, Child and Youth Clinic - Specialized services to children/youth with autism/pervasive developmental disorder, attention deficit and disruptive behaviour disorders, oppositional/defiant disorder, conduct disorder, mood disorders, anxiety disorders and dual diagnosis - medical/psychiatric * services may include psychosocial assessment, individual/family counselling, case management, therapeutic day treatment, art/play groups, psychiatric consultation, pschometric consultation
 
Residential Treatment Facility - Honeywell House / Honeywell Corners - Structured staff model treatment program located close to Belleville

Walk-in clinic Belleville at 3 Applewood Dr, 3rd floor: Wed 12noon-6pm with the last appointment at 4:30pm * some same day reserved spots are available by calling 1-844-GO2CMHS (462-2647)
