Service Description: Community support services

Two sites:
  • Clinical & Housing Services: 385 Princess St, Kingston
  • Addictions, Case Management, Vocational and Administration: 552 Princess St, Kingston
Case Management - psychosocial rehabilitation * client centered focus * emphasis on maximizing strengths and enhancing self esteem

ACT (Assertive Community Treatment) - Intensive support and comprehensive treatment through flexible and mobile community based services * medication management is when needed including assistance taking their medications
 
Addiction Services - Outpatient treatment
 
Crisis Services - Crisis intervention line connecting individuals in need 24/7 to immediate support
 
Family Resource Centre - Educational materials and information about local resources to family members of individuals with mental health concerns as well as to the general public, other agencies, and professionals * working in conjunction with the multi disciplinary team, this service provides support groups including NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness), Family Support Groups and Youth Support Groups 
 
Housing Services - Assisted living * community support workers provide in home and community support and life skills teaching to clients living in the homes, group homes or apartments operated by Addiction & Mental Health Services - Kingston Frontenac Lennox & Addington * support is flexible according to clients needs
 
Vocational Rehabilitation Program - Support to build skills and motivation to search for, obtain, and maintain employment * focuses on ability to problem solve, communicate effectively, use interpersonal skills and manage emotions to be successful in the workplace
