Service Description: In-home and centre specimen collection for laboratory testing. In-home collection is for people who are homebound * provide a broad range of community laboratory tests and have access to specialized clinical tests * does not provide cardiograms or halter monitors * provide laboratory testing and laboratory management for hospitals, as well as professional collection and testing services for employers, insurers and government agencies * majority of results will be reported within 24 hours * urgent results will be available in eight hours from time of receipt of the order * has utilizing information technology to receive, track, process, and invoice service requests

Fees: There is a fee of $25 per visit for private home specimen collection for housebound patients if the service is not covered by the Community Care Access Centre. The home visit fee is increasing to $30 Jan 1, 2012.
Application: Test requests must be ordered by an Ontario Physician.Waiting Period: A waiting period my be required for blood work as this is a walk in service.
