Service Description: Community Food centre

Services include:

Good Food Bank : 3-5 day supply of fresh food and pantry staples for individuals and families, available once a month. Food can be ordered by call or on website for pickup or delivery. Food bank accepts donations through cash, e-transfer , and food items

Community Meals : Dine-in Meals: Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays 4:30 pm-6 pm. Transportation support available to attend meals

??Drop in Community Kitchen: offers opportunity to explore some essential culinary skills

Community Navigations : support, referrals and resources to community members seeking help with housing, income support, etc. Assistance in processing applications for low-income supports for energy bills including the Low-Income Energy Assistance Program (LEAP) and Ontario Electricity Support Program (OESP)

After School Program : 12 weeks sessions held twice a year for children aged 8 to 11.Interactive activities in a commercial kitchen and garden setting, designed to engage children in learning, creativity and physical activities

Community Garden: Participants take home vegetables and learn how to grow healthy food, connect with others in a welcoming space and enjoy the outdoor setting. Hosts a series of monthly gardening workshops

Community Action Network: Discussions of current events, community issues and how to create change in the community, organize local actions to address poverty and food access

Volunteers: Volunteer opportunities available and open to everyone. Offer an array of shifts to fit any schedule

Community Navigator - Community Navigators offer resources, referrals and support on a wide array of issues from replacing lost identification,  government utility assistance programs, helping fill out paperwork to conducting a housing search
